What on Earth is Bitcoin Cash, you might be thinking.
Bitcoin Cash was created as a response to the scaling problem faced by Bitcoin. A portion of the Bitcoin miners wanted to create a new protocol with a larger block size, allowing for greater scalability.
Though, within months of launching their successful Bitcoin fork, Bitcoin Cash would also find themselves being forked by their own miners, leading to the creation of both Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV.
While you may be confused by all of this forking uncertainty, one thing is still evident. Bitcoin Cash has supporters.
Although many Bitcoin forks exist, such as Bitcoin SV and even another project called Bitcoin Cash ABC, none other than the original Bitcoin have the market capitalization of Bitcoin Cash.
Bitcoin Cash Price Analysis
Coming to life in August 2017, BCH initially had a starting price of $767.77. Though literally overnight, this price would fall by half, and within 72 hours, had dropped to $206.
Despite this seemingly underwhelming start, Bitcoin Cash would see significant price movement during the peak of the previous bull run.
Throughout December 2017, BCH reached its all-time high of $3,785.82. Yet, from there came a dramatic decline in value. Falling as low as $600 by April, Bitcoin Cash would make one final push climaxing at around $1,700 in May.
Unfortunately, the good news ended there as BCH has yet to reclaim even the lower value of $1,700 since. Bitcoin Cash reached an all-time low of $76.93 by December 2018.
Despite never regaining these all-time highs, the name recognition alone has seen Bitcoin Cash make a resurgence during the 2021 bull market.
Maxing out at $1,547 during May 2021, although, as fate would have it, BCH once again shed its value once peaking and now resides around the $600 mark.

This suggests that the price action will probably continue to oscillate from side to side in the immediate future—the reason being that Bitcoin Cash is in the unfortunate position whereby people correlate its success with Bitcoin. Thus, when BTC does well, BCH typically follows.
