When will Ethereum reach $10,000?

Given the state of the markets, we thought it was about time we reevaluated our initial thoughts and also tackled the question, when exactly will Ethereum reach $10,000?

It’s slowly becoming clear that the so-called May Massacre was the beginning of the bear market, and it could be some time before it recovers.

As we stated in our Bitcoin article, if you’re reading this in mid-2022, then you’ve likely missed the exit ramp on the crypto highway, and you could be best just continuing to drive until trends reverse.

If we look at January 2018, Ethereum was at $1,448 and then crashed to $369 by April before going as low as $110 in March 2020.

This meant a 4x drop in the short term, which does seem to have appeared again in 2022, and up to a 13x reduction before trends reverse.

If we assume history will repeat, which isn’t a guarantee, we could be looking at up to a 13x decrease and Ethereum going as low as $375 before recovering.

Ethereum Price Predictions

What do we believe through our analysis?

Consequently, our analysts don’t believe a $10,000 ETH token will appear before 2025.

Even then, some people would call this too bullish.

They believe going from $375 to $10,000, a 26x jump, seems almost unrealistic.

Though, when you remember that going from $110 to $4,878 is a 44x jump, you suddenly realize this isn’t as unrealistic as people can imagine.

While the time between may be a rough ride for token holders, providing Ethereum as a network is still as desirable a network in 2025 as it was in 2021, we do not believe these prices are anything to worry about.

While we are dealing with extremes in these scenarios, if it can go as low as $375, it can also go as high as $16,500 should it perform another 44x move in the future.

Typically, our analysts don’t like to work with extremes.

What do we see coming for Ethereum in 2023?

But, given Ethereum has already crashed through their 2023 prediction, it would seem like a good time to explain the extremes that could occur.

Most people had predicted more long-term token holders would appear, and the volatility would reduce, hence the initial price predictions.

Then again, the years from 2020 to 2022 have been nothing but plagued by macroeconomic factors.

In some ways, it’s a miracle a bull cycle occurred at all.

But that’s a little besides the point.

Anyway, that’s enough of our opinion. What do other commenters make of it all?

What do other sources have to say about Ethereum Price Predictions?

Popular crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen predicted ETH would see five figures between December 2021 and December 2022.

While it certainly doesn’t appear so to our analysts, there is always a possibility when it comes to crypto, and nothing should be ruled out entirely.

Though, if you thought that was bullish, Bernardo Schucman of CleanSpeak, a US-based software company, predicted the growth in DeFi would lead to $20,000 by the end of 2022.

Sadly, our analysts feel income US regulations may hinder that prediction from coming true, at least in 2022.

However, some analysts have been more honest in their appraisals.Changelly, a crypto-based blog, has predicted a maximum price of $2,898 for ETH in 2022.

They also note that WalletInvestor expects Ethereum to be valued at around $7,000 by the end of 2022.

Likewise, they state that DigitalCoinPrice also predicts $7,000 for the end of 2022.

Furthermore, Coinpedia predicts Ethereum will likely finish between $6,500 and $7,500.

Although they also state that in its best year, they believe it could reach as high as $12,000 if its Ethereum 2.0 transition is successful.

More Ethereum Price Predictions from other sources

Next, Bloomberg analyst Mike McGlone has Ethereum ending 2022 between $4,000 and $4,500.

Cryptopredictions.com have given a bearish, though perhaps realistic, prediction for Ethereum reaching no higher than $1,609 during 2022.

Additionally, Globalrankings.com have given their predictions of as low as $600 or as high as $4,500, depending on if you’re perspective is bullish or bearish regarding crypto.

Finally, a panel of 36 industry experts had been gathered together by Finder.com and was later quoted by Forbes, suggesting their panel of experts believe Ethereum can go as high as $5,800 by the end of the year.

How far will Ethereum fall?

In conclusion, depending on where you look and how bullish or bearish you’re feeling, the predictions you receive can have you going from $375 to $20,000.

Meaning, that while predictions are great, they should be considered best guesses rather than anything certain.

If 2021 taught us anything, it’s that you can do all the technical analysis you want, but if a billionaire tweets about a specific coin, it’s going to the moon, at least for a moment.
